Pat I see those flowers around my neighbourhood a lot and I had no idea they are called a cone flower. I thought they were some type of daisy. My plants aren't doing so well this year. I think it s because of the hot weather we are having. We went from cool to hot. I planted sweet peas and the leaves are turning yellow. The tomato plant is all spindly. hen that happens I just want to yank them all out. Your cone plants look really pretty.

Pretty in pink and how pretty the butterflies delicately perched on top. On first glance, the pink daisy-like flowers reminded me of echinacea - are the cone flowers closely related?

Volunteer tomatoes seem to be the best tomatoes for taste. I don't know why, it just seems so. Could be, 'cause there was no planting involved.....ya think? The cone flowers are gorgeous and apparently the butterflies think they have died and gone to heaven with all that food.....

Beautiful show of flowers and the butterflies are an added attraction. I love to sit outside, watch things grow and enjoy any wildlife which happens by. Alfie...

What lovely gifts! Your garden is working on its own. You'll have tomatoes. you have the beauty of butterflies, and you could have the health benefits of echinacea tea if you want to make it from your coneflower blooms.

Gifts from mother nature. Love the flowers just the way they are. One year I had volunteer cherry tomatoes that migrated from the neighbor's trash. They were amazing. Out here you can get fairly mature plants at the nursery. My daughter tried this but the dog ate the plants along with the bird house and a Cole of my grandson's projects. Spiritwoman ^i^
