Every year, after all my roses have died and my garden looks a bit empty and desolate except for a few palm trees, this beautiful yellow rose flowers. This rose bush has been in my garden for years, it fades away around October, and then each year a new bud grows, and stays with us right through Christmas. I have never seen roses lasting so long, or so late in the year. This is the rose bush that my Christmas Rose stems from.

It's a lovely rose, Robyn. Blooms are rare in winter, and perhaps that rose is Heaven's Christmas gift to you.

Hi Robyn. Nice looking bloom, the bush must be in a fairly sheltered spot in your garden.

Robyn5 replies on 10/26/2009 10:41 am: Hi jimbob, Its in a sheltered spot, right at the end of the garden, and it gets all the sun in summertime. It seems to be a very hardy rose, has survived a long time now. |
