music of the wind

Just came back from a weekend on the Long Beach peninsula -- Sunny Camp we call this yearly folk song retreat, but boy, did the wind ever blow! It howled all Saturday night, making us all very happy to be on more or less dry land as we sang with real feeling of storms and shipwrecks and the "four score and ten, men and boys . . . lost from Grimsby town. . ."
Now I have another song to learn, the "Old Figurehead Carver," and it has a wonderful chorus:
"While my hands are steady, while my eyes are good, I will carve the music of the wind into the wood."

Any wood carvers out there? How's that for a challenge"
