Mondays are not good days in customer service. Here's a little glimpse into the world of manufacturing: Customer: Hello I need to order a part? Me: Okay have you ordered with us before? Cust: I think so. Me: What is your zip code? Cust: 303 Me: Not your area code sir, your zip code for where you live? Cust: I gave it to you. Me: That was the area code for your phone sir, I need your postal zip code. Cust: I don't have one. Me: Well, I can't help you if you don't have a zip code sir. Let's start with your name. Cust: Scott Me: Your last name please Cust: That was it Me: Do you have a first name sir? Cust: Yes Me: Could you please hold sir? CALMLY I PUT THEM ON HOLD AND BEAT THE AIR WITH THE PHONE TILL I CAN'T BREATHE OR SEE AND THEN I FINISH THE CALL. Amazing, simply amazing!

LOL !*!*!* been there and strong coffee is the only way I kept my sanity. Since I retired a number of my ex work coleagues ask "Do you miss working" ANSWER.... NO WAY.

LOL...I feel your pain...I have a small auto insurance company, and I love the phone calls like this.
them: Hi. I need to take that blue car off, and put a white one on.
Me: good. First, tell me your name.

Oh yes customer service is sooo much FUN isn't it...LOL I get all the problem calls as the boss and most times I have to listen for several minutes before I can break in to get a name, address....anything...the best was when a lady called and cursed us up one side down the other and because we couln't find her in our computer system.....she called back with her bill & account number when I asked her to read me the name on the letterhead it was a competitors name.....LOL When I told her she had called the wrong place she never apologized.... just said said well your damn lucky it wasn't you and hung up?????? OK...LOL
Living my life for the memories I will have....... not the regrets of what never was......

To all of your comments I reply by *ROTFLMBO* truer horror stories were never told! I have to laugh and do many times when I hang up the phone. I did tell one of my customers after 20 minutes of troubleshooting to put the auger down slowly, watch it carefully as he backed away quietly to a safe distance, then turn and run -- run as fast as he could...hung up the phone and almost wet my pants laughing.
