My wonderful friend Gary says I have to write a poem But I've been really busy trying to straighten up my home My wonderful last love moved all his stuff here in December But I still lurk around here 'cause my friends I do remember. I have never been so happy in my sixty years of living I have found a man who loves me and is passionate and giving He brings the coffee to my bed and really treats me fine So, yes, there is a good chance to find happiness on line. There's no way I can say it all with just four lines or so But you get the idea, now I really gotta go! Days 'til Bash at Fish Lodge now - ya' can't dodge that there's less than before for them-thar fish to grow more & more Hmmm ... there's breakfast cookin' cooked by cook that's good-lookin' Will there be hash at Bash? Lots of non-green eggs & ham? and kosher bacon bakin' (or microwavin' - lol) and oatmeal w/cinnamon & raisins so there's energy to spare for the heck y'all will be raisin' I ain't no Doctor Seuss Surely will be orange Jeuss (or juice - lol) So get that coffee goin' Collect them-thar shot glasses y'all jolly lads and lasses. When there's fishin' contest winner will ya' be frying that for dinner? (whew - gotta quit this poh-et-tree writin' so y'all won't wanna do a heckuva lot fuss 'n fightin' with me. hehehehe)    Elle

Reading this blog has made me smile, It started out being so wholesome. Then it changes to guys writing in denial, and competing as to whose pole is most awesome. We are all in our spirits still twenty three, full of spunk, and lust, playfullness and glee. Even though those peak days have passed factually, We are always young and always will be. Thanks to this site we can all share our laughter, our feelings, with nary a care, We can even pretend to be poets, As I have just done on a moment's notice. Never regret growing old, the privilege is denied to many. -Anonymous

Wishes fishes -and- On dining table there are dishes served up in 'family style' lots & lots, for nearly a mile And looking at pix of Wishes I will keep my wishes as my secret in niche's in empty spaces in my brain behind my face. I have only one face, in real-time life and on-line; I won't tell you 'a line' I carefully put my lines in a tackle box won't use 'em on you. I'll find HollyHocks in the boat that doesn't float where Maggie fertilizes flowers with fish guts and makes bowers of flowers to decorate The Lodge, Gary's life and this poem-time that has almost run out of words to rhyme. Might be pansies in the boat that doesn't float Won't be any pansy-guys at the Lodge; Because - Real Men and Real Women - go fishin' then - do a bit of dishin' out in the moonlight under the stars 'Carolina Moon, Keep Shining' I won't be there to show you 'my' moon; that's planted in my desk chair Not im the boat That doesn't float. I hurried back from shopping just to see what new was "writ" I tripped upon my old orange cat and loudly said "Oh chit" So now I'm sporting quite a bruise, I'm blaming it on Wishes And this will be a short one 'cause I have to do the dishes. The housework isn't done, the pile of laundry's getting deeper I have 80 unread emails, there's a message on my beeper But just as Capistrano is a mecca for the swallow I keep returning to this site, this blog I gotta follow. Let's keep this thing a-going, 'cause I'm really having fun But now the phone is ringing so I really gotta run.
