I spotted these berries while going up Mount Dandenong, Melbourne. I don't know if they are edible.

I think they are blackberries. They are edible, and lovely to eat when ripe. My mother used to make lovely pies and jam with them, really yummy.

Yep, I agree with Maudie, blackberries. Havent seen any for years. They used to be a weed in some areas.

Judgment Day will be interesting - and all paths lead there.

I also vote for blackberries. I was taught that any berry that is red at some point in it's ripening process is safe to eat. I never pushed it by trying to eat anything I didn't identify first though.
