Friday's Bouquet - Spring Colours

It is now early spring and the leaves are falling. Soon the tree will be completely red.

Hi Lee!
Is that your neighborhood? I'd like to see the tree in full bloom.

Interesting. We have a similar kind of tree here but it is always purple. I love this red one.

Hi whiterose,

I am in Brisbane. In Australia, in spring there are red, purple and yellow trees - the trees only have flowers and no leaves. That's why I call it Spring Colours.

Hi Lee, I'm just north of Brisbane - that's not the flame (kurrajong) tree is it? Noticed some in bloom yesterday although not aware it comes in other colours. I think the purple and yellow trees you referred to are the jacaranda and 'yellow jacaranda'.

Hi lilium,

No, it is not the flame of the forest. The flame is also very popular here. So the yellow one is the yellow jacaranda. Thanks.

Lee
ps. I have a pic of the flame which I think will astound everyone. I photographed it in Manly.

Thanks for the comments. I will try to post the fully bloomed red tree and the flame later.
