Friday's Bouquet

You all must have heard of the tiger flower, tiger lily and tiger orchid which are pretty flowers with spots or stripes. However, have you heard of the Tiger Barb?
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you a bouquet of Tiger Barbs.

Those are new ones to me, Lee. Very colorful and unusual picture.

Great photo. Those fishes have always been one of my aquarius favorites.

It's new to me, too. Do they grow in water? Is that a pond? Nice pic, Lee. Enjoy your weekend.

You have a great weekend too, Roxy.
Tiger barbs used to be abundant here and you can catch them by the dozens.

Thanks sw,

Yes, tiger barbs are a favourite in Aquarius because of their stripes and their energetic swims.

Hi GLUMO,

It is an aquarium. I am sure there are tiger barbs in Honduras as we have the same climate. Maybe you were not as naughty as I when you were young which is why you have not seen them before. You have a joyful weekend too.

In the Mauritius too huh, Poet?
I used to find them in the cool and fast flowing streams in the rubber estates here. Alas, these estates have given way to oil palm and those concrete things with roofs. You have a smiley weekend too.

Bright yellow with black stripes is a marine fish but tha was not what I meant. The tiger barb in the photo is not the local species which is smaller with a narrower body. I don't know where it is from as I took the photo in the flower dome at the Gardens by the Bay.
