EVER SINCE I WAS A CHILD I'VE ALWAYS HAD A FEAR OF SOMEONE UNDER MY BED AT NIGHT. SO I WENT TO A SHRINK AND TOLD HIM . . . 'I've got problems. Every time I go to bed I think there's somebody under it. I'm scared. I think I'm going crazy.' 'Just put yourself in my hands for one year,' said the shrink. 'Come talk to me three times a week and we should be able to get rid of those fears..' 'How much do you charge?' 'Eighty dollars per visit,' replied the doctor. 'I'll sleep on it,' I said. Six months later the doctor met me on the street. 'Why didn't you ever come to see me about those fears you were having?' he asked. 'Well, Eighty bucks a visit three times a week for a year is an awful lot of money! A bartender cured me for nothing. I was so happy to have saved all that money that I went and bought me a new pickup!' 'Is that so!' With a bit of an attitude he said, 'and how, may I ask, did a bartender cure you?' 'He told me to cut the legs off the bed! - Ain't nobody under there now ! ! ! ' SCREW THOSE SHRINKS. GO HAVE A DRINK & TALK TO YOUR BARTENDER! Received this c&p today. Enjoy. |

You are so right VBG!!!!!  I am ashamed to tell you how many pair I have. Unfortunately I live between two outlet malls and can't resist stopping in to see if they have gotten in anything I need. They usually have. smile

Promise, I am glad you enjoyed. Winkay, Sounds like you found the ideal shrink, oooops bartender. VBG, I like the way you solved the problem. I knew I could depend on you for a good solution. LOL shrinks are the most psychotic people in the world! LOL and it takes a lot of intimidation to still be going to see them. now THNK about THAT! hehehe not that I dont think they are good...just that what we already know but dont do anything about it and they tell us again what we know and tell us to do something about it!

When I was a kid, I worried about alligators under the bed. (Don't ask why, because I don't know.) I spent years making sure that no appendages hung over the bed when I fell asleep. When I was a teenager, I put storage boxes under my bed. That solved the promlem nicely.

I knew my bed was sitting too high! About those bartenders - I have a weekly therapy session at lunch with a fantastic lady bartender at Applebees. The best part is that she never asks "how do you feel about that?" or "what was your relationship like with your mother?". She gets all the information she needs to "know who I am" by sharing the funny stories, the accounts of my dates, my visits with my family, etc. and since she has shared many of the same experiences in her life, understands without interrogation, and heck my bill is only about $15.00 plus tip!!!
