This is a c/p from a Mass. politician and defense attorney talking about Jessica's law, dealing with child abusers. It made me really sick and ticked off......

A Massachusetts politician and defense attorney has touched off a firestorm with his shocking public vow to torment and "rip apart" child rape victims who take the witness stand if the state legislature passed stiff mandatory sentences for child sex offenders.

Rep. James Fagan, a Democrat, made the comments during debate last month on the state House floor.

"I'm gonna rip them apart," Fagan said of young victims during his testimony on the bill. "I'm going to make sure that the rest of their life is ruined, that when they’re 8 years old, they throw up; when they’re 12 years old, they won’t sleep; when they’re 19 years old, they’ll have nightmares and they’ll never have a relationship with anybody.”
Fagan said as a defense attorney it would be his duty to do that in order to keep his clients free from a "mandatory sentence of those draconian proportions."
The father of the Florida girl for whom Jessica's Law is named also blasted Fagan after hearing the comments.

Mark Lunsford, whose 9-year-old daughter was abducted and buried alive in a trash bag by a sex offender in 2005, told the Boston Herald on Tuesday that Fagan should take the rights of victimized children seriously.

“Why doesn’t he figure out a way to defend that child and put these kind of people away instead of trying to figure ways for defense attorneys to get around Jessica’s Law?” Lunsford told the paper. “These are very serious crimes that nobody wants to take serious. What about the rights of these children?”

this makes me sick too. He should be sent to prison too, along with the offender.

the Supreme Court just ruled that the death penalty for child rapists is "cruel and unusual punishment" and had banned it. I think Jessica was under "cruel and unusual punishment" don't you? Some one outta take that lawyer behind the courthouse, put a bag over his head and kick the stuffing out of his sorry azz God forgive me, but that chaps my hide.

I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.

I agree with Ola......except prison is really too good for him / her. There has to be a punishment that would torment him / her for the rest of his / her life on this earth!!

I don't understand how any grown person could mistreat a child!!

Dan....I heard that last night and could not believe my ears. Evidently the abused children are not as important as the abuser in they eyes.....This lawler should receive the same punishment as the abuser. Makes my blood boil to see children and the elderly mistreated!

James Fagan is as sick, or better said - IS MORE SICK IN THE HEAD than child rapists.

Did anyone notice his name? 'Fagan' in literature also exploited vulnerable children. Odd thing about that name is - that a person I worked with years back had name of 'Fagan' and was seriously mentally ill; had violent 'behaviours' toward others. No way for me to check whether it's fact, but I'd almost wonder whether James Fagan is a blood relative of the _____ Fagan with whom I worked.

Supreme Court ruling re child rapists IS FLAT-OUT WRONG! G-d forbid any child or grandchild of Supreme Court Justices is ever harmed by abuser-rapist, but I can't help but wonder ---- what would their 'ruling' be if that were the case?

I understand where Fagan is coming from... that it is an attorney's job to assure that his client isn't subjected to the worst of punishment for a crime committed..... The Supreme Court decision - which, effectively, barred the death penalty for child abusers/rapists..... Sooooo and Buuuuttt.... how about we surgically castrate these offenders????? THAT's the the death penalty...

Oh, and after castrating the miscreants.... we can incarcerate them for the remainder of their lives.... in VERY spartan surroundings....

I am certainly not going to defend his actions but I will defend his obligation to do his job.

He can say almost anything he wants and the bottom line is will 12 people believe him.

The supreme court rules on law not emotions or personal feelings. They are supposed to be the elite. Does that tell you something about how elite our judicial system has become?

I was aghast at hearing the Surpreme Court's decision. I still think it's wrong but one of the correspondence to the news station I was watching when this came on made a rather valid point. If child sex offenders know they are going to get the death penalty what is to prevent them from murdering the child anyway. Basically the withholding of the death penalty may be the one thing that saves the childs life.

Personally I'm with ackman, lets cut their nuts off and put em the pen with the real sex offenders for the rest of their stinkin life.

I ain't as good as I once was but I'm as good once as I ever was.

My answer to the Supreme Court ruling is to use castration and life imprisonment, a life usually abbreviated by those inmates who detest child molesters.... Fagan also better watch his back.... he may have pronounced his own sentence with his speechmaking.

OMG
That laywer is just sick!
Maybe they ought to check him out.
I have not read any new lately...
This is shocking!!!

And I agree with ackman and Destiny...
Mandatory Castration.
They used to do it at the aslyums and prisons before we were born.
Then all of the laws for civil rights came along.

Assuming that these are factual and accurate quotes, this statement of intent to injure a child on the stand seems to me to be a violation of some professional ethic, and I would think his peers(the Bar) should publicly censure him.Or disbar him.

Without going into early pregnancy abortions,it seems to me that from terminating the life of viable infants at birth,to the ACLU's successful battle to defend the actions of the National Man Boy Love Association (networking the seduction of boys,)at least in the minds of some people in the courts and congress,a child isn't worth much.

I spent some time with a woman who had a pedophile uncle. All of those things fagan chit head threatened happen without his help.

I think it is not too difficult to imagine that adult parts and child parts are not of matched size and the child is experiencing life threatening and horrible bodily harm.

Any person who could cross this line in my opinion, does not fit in the category of "rehabilitation",compassion,or mercy.

I would love to comment on this .. the words I would use would not be allowed on this site and I would be banned. Jessica was a child near where I live and a beautiful child...that scum bag should have already been disposed of.

Ackman and Gets have the right idea. I'd just take it one step further. Take his "jewels" after they are removed and let him watch as you set them on fire with gasoline and a match....and don't give him any pain medication....and don't protect him from sex offenders in prison.....and put him in a private cell and make him watch porn all day....and if I can think of anything else painful and cruel, I'll add that. Oh yeah...lock him up in a place with the fathers of all the little children who have been victimized by scum like him.

Sorry, I got carried away. People who hurt children should be shown NO mercy.

Ahh castration would be very satisfying, I 'm afraid these deviants carry their prob len in their heads. so removal of said body part would be much more effected..after the castration of course...Have a real nasty streak when it comes to Child abusers. Witch

PS..the lawyer in question has got his Moriarty...Will keep these evil thought out of my mind, castration and decapitation enough for me for one day

eiskay is right, its nothing to do with their "nuts" its all in the head and the power they hold over the victim. Also they have stopped growing emotionally and mentally at a certain age and thats why they like kids. Its sick, and I just cant even bear to think of it.
That lawyer is a very sick individual and should not be in a position of power at all.

saucy,

May I ask your source? I just watched a video and this was taken out of context.

He didn't say that he would do it....he stated that this is what the abusers lawyers would be saying or doing.

Jessica only lived about 50 miles from here and every one was so shocked and saddened by what happened to her.

But, in all fairness State Rep. Fagan was making a point, nothing more.

Anyone who molests a child...........should be forced to endure the same level of pain and indignity each and every minutes for the rest of his or her natural life - and the longer that life is, the better!!!

BTW, castration does not deter sexual deviates from continuing their deviant lifestyle - it just takes them in a different direction. It isn't really about the sex, it's about control and power.

The Supreme Court screwed up royally this time!!

I also read the articles and was first shocked at why the Supreme Court would rule against Capital Punishment. When I read the facts and decending opinions then I tryed to look at it the way the court did.
The perpetrator did not commit murder...and there is the key difference. On the other hand, should a rapist commit murder along with rape then it is a dfferent judgement to be handed down.

I agree with the casteration part...like the victim the criminal has to live with it for the rest of his life.
