Around 5 last night we had hellish storms go thru our town. Coon Rapids, the town next to us had a tornado touch down, then there was one on the other side of our town, and one reported in Lino Lakes which is the other side. We had lots of branches and debris laying around, but we had no damage. We did get quarter size hail, and I was unlucky enuff to be caught out in our car during some of it. Was very scarey, cause people couldnt see past the hood of their cars and there wasnt a place to pull over. People were huddled together under an a bridge, on highway 10. Smart or not I decided to trudge thru it, because we didnt have that far to go. My son and I ran my brother in law home, and when we had left it didnt seem too bad out, just very dark. So everyone here is fine and I appreciate all the well wishes and prayers. thank you Elle The worst of the storm hit in Hugo, one 2 yr old is dead and her sibling is critical. Some of the pictures on the news, looks like a bomb hit the houses. So for some of our indoor "picnic" we were down stairs, in our rec room. Our "intruder" and his family came, and we still had a good time. My MIL and i DID NOT wait on anyone lol. Maybe we are learning something I was kinda glad when it was over, with the storm and everything. But the one thing that made me laff is, when our "guest" left, lol he thanked us for inviting him!! My MIL and I did tell our guys what we thought, and yes it was true as someone on my former blog said.. He gets to them at work. My MIL was pretty ticked off, so i think that my FIL got the message lol. All in all after I vented a bit, it cleared my mind and i still had a good time. Ty all for caring! happy Memorial Day! kellyc aka saucy

That reminds me of a storm I got caught in on the toll road about 5 years ago. No visibility, no place to get off the road and the only thing to do was to keep on going. I think it was one of the scariest moments of my whole life.
I'm so glad you had no damage, it must be really tough for those who lost their kids and homes.

Sounds like an exciting if scary time for you Saucy but you are safe.My daughter had the life frightened out of her in Little Rock, she spent a night sitting in the bath watching the tornadoes on some machine or other, maybe a TV. She is home now but going back for more. You live in a dangerous zone.Take care.
