He Was the Albert Einstein of My Generation

Yesterday the world lost perhaps the most brilliant mind of the 21st century with the passing of Stephen Hawking. Hawking who was afflicted his entire life with ALS was the most brilliant astro-physicist of my generation. Not since Albert Einstein has a physicist had such a profound impact upon our knowledge of the universe.

Hawking who used a ventilator to him speak and breathe, was confined to a wheelchair and trapped in a nearly useless body, but his mind was amazing. Hawking contributed greatly to theories about black holes and the phenomenon known as dark matter in the universe. He will certainly be missed as he was a truly amazing man.
