Greetings, Y'All! (Watched Paula Deen twice on Larry King Live last night and realized I have to start practicing my 'Southern' accent again! Do you not find her totally charming ? ) Our visit in Seattle, with a side trip to Mt. Saint Helens, has been great fun. Juan, who's now entered kindergarten, informs me he's 'much too old' to be making hand cookies any more, as 'that's just baby stuff'. But when his Dad came into the kitchen to get in on the fun with his Mom and me, well that became a different game altogether. Anna, Paul and Nat mercifully kept me from the clutches of Juan and the X-Box.
We're gearing up to resume the trip after dinner this evening. From here, we're headed southeast to visit with Paul's relatives somewhere south of Boise, ID. I've told you I have a gyroscope instead of an internal compass? That will be a quick visit as we hope to be in Katy, TX for the weekend. From there, we have options to consider and decisions to make.
I'm sorry there's no time to read just now ~ I'm stealing the time to write. Blog withdrawal is he!!, don't we know. Hope you're keeping well and having a great 'State and County Fair Season'.
Many thanks for your visit. You know I'm thinking of you every day. Keep all of us in your prayers! More as I may!

Trying to move the prayer chain group over to "Prayer is Strength in Numbers" under "Spirituality" -- come join us. Only Lizzie Loo and I have been posting and we discussed that the group is rather hidden from newcomers. We would welcome you back.

Hey, GF! Hope you and Alfie are having a wonderful summer. We're taking it at a leisurely pace and being as careful as is humanly possible. It's a bittersweet kind of 'fun' because we know that there's a big change at the end of the road. I'll be in touch as much as possible! Take care!
1little2little Hello, ONE! Glad to see you here. We drove up to Seattle from Portland and stopped at St. Helens on the way. We're not really sight seeing, as there is something of a timetable to be watched. The whole area is lovely to the point of being awesome. Thanks for your comment!
Prayers solicited and appreciated, DAVE! The trip has begun well and we're looking forward to seeing more folks along our route and admiring the wonders of America along the way. You take care and I'll be in touch! Joy!
I'd love to have more time to wander afield and search out such points of interest, FE, but I'm not in the 'driver's seat' and our main focus is visiting Anna and Joe's friends/relatives as we make our way eastward. Glad to see you here!
Oh, KAREN! I miss you, too and look forward to being in touch again when I'm back in Tennessee later in the month. We'll have a lot of great catching up to do, that's certain. Hope the job search is going well. Hugs and prayers!
I'm signing off and heading out the door, friends. It will be awhile before I can check in again. Missing all of you greatly. Keep the coffee hot for me!

Elsie,you're turning into a regular vagabond....and that's good.
Taking advantage of what this great country offers and sampling some of this and that are right at the top of my agenda.
Of course, you will be safe....and I pray so. I also implore that you have the time of your life and store and put away for safe keeping memories that are sweet to a vagabond's soul.
Via con Dios my friend.
This is just a personal opinion, but life is more fun if you can find time to laugh.

Glad you are having fun Hagitha . . . you probably looked right down on my house when you were yp at Mr. St. Helens . . . did you not get to see Mt. Rainier. It's much closer to Seattle and Tacoma. Mt. St. Helens is really close to Vancouver and Portland.
