Time magazine Oct 13, 2008, Page 6.

“ What’s the difference between American and British humor? ”
Simon Pegg replied, “ Often, I find, my American friends when they are being ironic will say, ‘Just kidding,’ afterward……. We’ll say, “ you do this, or I’ll smack you in the face,” and expect that person to realize that we’re not being serious.”

We're pretty lucky Jan. We understand both US and UK (In all their many forms and varieties) and have our own as well. We even get to see Corner gas from Canada if we want to

very true Bailey ~ the two are miles apart,

I doubt that the much loved Morecambe and wise or the two ronnies television programs would raise a titter in the states , even the 80's comedy sensations Little and Large or Cannon and Ball

who knows what american children would make of the Chuckle brothers

Bob the Builder sounds very strange when talking in American or chinese and I darent mention Blackpools very blue Roy chubby Brown
