An Open Diary (1)-------- Before He Came To Paradise

This fellow blogger told me he was coming to Honolulu.

I responded, “ Aloha, Welcome to Paradise !!!! ……. I'll be happy to meet you but i don't have a car to drive you around….. Im a good bus rider.”

I must remember to keep the habbit of being honest from deeper down. I didn’t want him to be fooled by the fantasy that “Paradise” meant everybody had a car here

He returned, “How very nice of you to agree to meet me, having an experienced bus rider as a tour guide sounds great…..”

“Tour guide”……?.. I could’ve taken him to Pearl Harbor. I’ve never seen the sunken ship.

I wrote, “ OK, You be my first tourist !!!!!! … ”

He retuned, “WOW, what an honor and privilege to be your first tourist........I'm an easy going guy so you can practice trial and error with me to develop your tourist guide program…...”

He sounded a little off-key. I need to be cautious.

And the momentum didn’t flow in a sensible way in planning to be a tourist that’s supposed to be simplistic as a crystal & straightforward as the purity of a child ……. I could see something else stuck inside his head that popped up from the hollow air in his message.

He had earlier asked me if I had “too many friends” ……..
or was he worried whether I, a new blogging acquaintance, was going to be a ready-made “ideal” woman in his old old dreams ?

I cancelled his trip for him and suggested Eckhart Tolle’s book “ The Power of Now”……... Tolle has the power to straighten out crooked crooks.

Hello Aloha...

Your reporting of the 3 brief e-mails exchanged between us is both accurate and factual...

I am coming to Hawaii on the 17th as I wrote you and would be nice to connect with a possible Friend from SeniorFriendFinder? I have read and commented on your blogs for a couple of years now as you have on mine..

However, your "sounded a little off-key"; and "seeing something else stuck inside his head" is all of your own cognitive internalization and how you decided I should read a spiritual self-help book is beyond me?.....you may wish to re-read our 3 short e-mails as you have reported them.

No, you did not cancel my trip for me as I am coming to Hawaii to escape the cold and rain here in Oregon, I just thought connecting with a potential Friend from this site would be the natural thing to do while I am there....I am an Alumina of the University of Hawaii and am also trying to connect up with a few other ole acquaintances while there..However, University days was over 25 years ago and most old classmates have moved on..

I will be staying in a hotel in Waikiki from March 17th until March 31st, if you would like to meet in a restaurant in Waikiki for lunch while I'm there, You can contact me over this site..

BE WELL..

P.S. If any other Hawaii SFF's reads this comment and would like to meet me, please contact me....I'll buy lunch and perhaps an exotic beverage or two...

Nice post, Zan. Quite a few unexpected twists & turns within only a few days are making me a little dizzy now. I don't know how to respond yet.

ALoha, Actually, the more cars there are the less likely that paradise will remain that way very long!

P.S. Your correspondent, Zantoo, sounds OK to me, friend. If I lived in Oregon, I'd be wanting to get away from the cold, the dark, and the precipitation right about now also. Al, from Seeing Eye to Eye
