There I was in a catholic church on the kneeler getting close to my God. I must have been in my late twenties as my daughter was around five. I heard a little muffled giggling behind me only to discover that my darling girl was up to something. She was looking at me through a tampon tube while swinging the little cotton thing on the rope around in a circle. I guess the spiritual connection was broken rather abruptly. Kids, they make you humble.
