Politics, Faith, Magick and God Shots Earlier this week, I drove to the Fairgrounds about a job. I tickets at the WV State Fair every year. It's like a reunion because I meet the same co-workers year after year along with a few new ones. I was delighted to discover that our work shirts will be red this year. That's a God Shot!!!! I can declare my political sentiments without being overtly political. Earlier that day, I stopped at Burger King to pick up a dollar taco along with a Coke Zero. I told the cashier at the window that I would pick up the tab for the man in the big hoggy truck behind me. It brought back childhood memories when I decided to keep believing in Santa Claus because I like getting presents. Now that I am older, the joy is being Santa Claus and giving presents.. I stopped at Wal-Mart on the way home. I ran into Mr. Dufus who followed me all over the store with lascivious suggestions. I suspect that if I ever took him up on the suggestions, he would run like the wind. He kept throwing stuff in his cart and I figured, what the heck, more for Wal-Mart. I finally decided to dodge him by heading to the Gardening section. Mr. Dufus must have decided that he didn't want any potting soil. I discovered the plant rescue section with several marvelous finds at basement bargain prices. Woo Hoo!!!! I made it home to the music from the wind chimes, specks of light of the fairy mirrors and that ever-growing pumpkin patch. Charlie Brown is going to really happy come October.     Abracadabra  |

Years ago, I placed Fairy Mirrors on our Maple Tree. Grumpy lost his cigarette lighter and blamed it on the Fairies. I bought him another lighter and put up more fairy mirrors. All fairies are welcome in my garden. The gnomes are welcome too. MAGICKAL MAGICKAL MAGICKAL and FiretrUCK anyone who thinks otherwise. Abracadabra

There is nothing more wonderful than the sanctuary of HOME as you know we so strongly discovered this past month! I wasn't able to adorn ours with flowers this year, except a pot of pansies that was given to me for my birthday. Some critter has attacked it twice, but one little plant continues to bravely bloom. I've shopped the "plant rescue" sections before and been delighted with some of the finds. One year, I rescued some small chrysanthemums late in the season. They rewarded me with several years of beauty every fall. I find life with God to be full of "God shots" and whether you call it spiritual or magical, I recognize His hand in so much of my life. And I agree, very much, with Bob's comment! You go, gal. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
