Political Correct Nonsense and Public Shaming

Sometimes I wonder if this is Big Brother? People have made a azzzzz out of themselves on public media or even made a careless remark, suddenly it goes vital and the person loses their jobs and their lives are ruined.

I remember when Wal-Mart discounted Paula Deen products and wouldn't restock because she said the "n" word. They didn't do the same to Duck Dynasty products when Phil Robinson expressed his opinion about gays. The television station suspended him and tried to boot him off the show. The family stuck to their guns. The suspension was lifted and Phil stayed. The network needed the Robinsons more than the Robinsons needed them and Wal-Mart was making quite a bit of money from the products.

Willie Robertson spoke at a Trump Rally , reminding Republicans of Trump's unconventional straight-talking style. 'He may not always tell you what you want to hear. You may not always agree. And it may not always be politically correct,' he said.
'But when your father is Phil Robertson, I'm used to that, okay?'

I was reading "Million Dollar Cup of Water" by a CEO who recorded himself acting like an azzzzzz confronting a Chick Fil-A worker about the company's policy on gays. He put it on You Tube - It went viral - He lost his job - his resources - his home and couldn't find another job. The family had to go on Food Stamps. He wrote a book about the experience. I was amaze about how many negative reviews he got on the book by people who never even read the book. People were determined to destroy this man and his family's life indefinitely.

Most humans have said and done things that they regret but surely they should be allowed to pick themselves back up, learn from their errors and move forward. I have seen this mob mentality with public shaming over and over again.

I have watched Malania Trump and can tell that she was very uncomfortable and awkward with the role of First Lady. I cheer her on when I see her progressing even if I disagree with her husband's politics. There are some people who are always going to look at the nude photos or the "plagiarized" speech. Who cares, we are all progressing, some faster than others.

I am not even sure that Trump knows the FiretrUCK what he is doing but either he'll progress, he will get voted out in four years, or if he booted out, we get Mike Pence. Lucky us.

I know that i disagree about policies more with Pence than I do with Trump ( I still don't know what his policies are).

But that being said I'd take Pence over Trump any day of week, except Sunday.

I believe Pence will at least, help us define what the truth is.
The idea of the Republican Right, to cover up the truth.. is what we have always had to deal with.
But to me, covering up truth is at least admitting what the truth is. I can deal with that.. I can't deal with Trump not knowing what truth is, feeling like he is above the truth, and trying to make the truth whatever he wants it to be.

The CFO, Adam Smith, made a big mistake posting that video, and it cost him. No company wants an employee working for them after receiving bomb threats because of what he did, and I don't blame them, he has now become taboo for any company out there to hire him. There's nothing wrong with him standing up for something he believes in, but sometimes people should think before they act, or be ready to pay for the consequences of their actions.

As far as Malania goes, she's a beautiful women, intelligent and she isn't the first woman to pose in the nude, and she won't be the last. I'm sure at the time she wasn't even thinking that some day she would be the first lady. Her nude photos didn't bring about bomb threats, so there's a plus for her, now people need to let it go. She's older and wiser now, she dresses and acts like the lady she has become.

I'm sure we have all made mistakes throughout our lives, some bigger than others, some we learn from, others have a price we have to pay for, but all in all, no one is perfect.

I have been keeping track of Adam Smith's situation. He did finally manage to bounce back but it took a while. People who haven't read his book are still giving negative reviews. It is really stupid.

I personally don't think Malania did anything wrong by posing nude. That was just a chapter in her life that is now past. Now she has started another chapter. Sometimes I feel like I have lived several lifetimes in this one life time. I remember frequenting clothing optional beaches in California but that wouldn't work on the West Virginia Riverbanks and at my age it would not be a pretty sight.

Well that's good news that things are getting better for him, I'm sure it's just some hateful people who can't move on and forget about his mistake so they continually harass the poor guy. Some people are like that and there's nothing we can do about it.

Melania has nothing to be ashamed of, but I'm sure she puts those who shame her to shame. I agree, she did nothing wrong.

Shoot, I'm sure we all feel like we have lived several lifetimes, lol I know I wouldn't do now what I did when I was in my twenties, thirties and the decades up to now, but I sure wish I had some nudes of myself from back then, I was pretty darn sexy in my youth. All I have are some photos taken of me in a bikini, but I wouldn't be caught dead in one now, lol, much less in the nude!!
