#45 is - All Mouth No Trousers

I listened to Trump very carefully during his rallies. One of the promises that he made was that he was going to "fix the inner cities." I believe that the inner cities need to fix themselves but they can use a supportive hand.

Trump met with a group of black college professors in February. There was a photo of him surrounded by the professors while he was signing an executive order on Black Colleges. The reality is that he was signing an order to move the funds earmarked for black colleges from the Department of Education into the hands of Steve Brannon.

Civil Rights Congressman of Georgia declined to attend Trump's inauguration explaining " I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president. . . . I think the Russians participated in helping this man get elected. And they helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton.

Trump responded with Twitter

Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk – no action or results. Sad!

Trump later said on Twitter:
Congressman John Lewis should finally focus on the burning and crime infested inner-cities of the U.S. I can use all the help I can get!
.
Despite Trump’s racist slurs to the contrary, all black communities are not dystopian hellscapes. Lewis’ district is affluent and contains several of the leading universities in the United States.

By comparison, Lewis has given decades of his life to public service. Trump has spent decades of his life making himself richer often at the expense of the public.

Ironically, Trump was asking for help from John Lewis but has ignored the letter from the Black Congressional Caucus

Hi, @realDonaldTrump. We’re the CBC. We sent you a letter on January 19, but you never wrote us back. Sad! Letter: http://seniorfriendfinder.com

The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) has declined a proposed meeting with Donald Trump citing its conviction that the Republican president’s policies “will devastate black communities”, and the administration’s unresponsiveness to the CBC to date.
“Given the lack of response to any of the many concerns we have raised with you and your administration, we decline your invitation for all 49 members of the Congressional Black Caucus to meet with you. The CBC, and the millions of people we represent, have a lot to lose under your administration. I fail to see how a social gathering would benefit the policies we advocate for,” the caucus said in a letter.

per gOOgle research

My suggestion to TRUMP is that he needs to get off the pot, pull up his Big Boy Pants and do what he has promised.

When are we all going to learn that no matter who is in office we are all slaves to our government. Taxation is theft, everyone needs to understand that.

Politicians get richer and most have become millionaires on a salary of $174,000.00 a year. 67% of our Senate and over half of Congress are millionaires. They rob Social Security of our hard earned money, they vote for raises for themselves while the rest of us get poorer. Nothing done by our government has been done by accident, everything will come together in the end and the people will be the losers, and by then, it will be too late for us to do anything about it. Now in the mean time, keep fighting with each other to keep the division going, the more we are distracted , the further the government advances.

You can check my blogs, they date back to 2006. I also have a VERIFIED profile with pictures dating back to that time. I also know about trolls that have been on this site for years. I haven't kept track of the newer trolls. There have been several. Desert's picture looks like an outdated picture of an older person. I don't care how long Desert has been on this site, the profile has Troll written all over it.

People may agree or disagree with my political blogs but at least they know who I am and where I stand.

An alleged 74 year old who looks at least 74 years from a ten year old picture. I think not. It is more like someone who created a fake profile and lifted a 30 year old picture of somebody's granny for the purpose of being an anonymous troll.

There is a difference between judging and evaluating a profile. I have been on the site long enough to know that there are trolls who create anonymous profiles so that they can anonymously harass others in the blogs. A number of SFF have completely switched over to FB because they have gotten tired of the nonsense. There are also an abundance of "catfish" (both male and female) in the dating section who prey on what they consider lonely desperate seniors. Although, I am not looking for love to happen, I am not totally closing the door on the possibility thus I DO evaluate the profiles from responses that I get. I also keep my profile REAL with updated pictures. The other side knows what they are getting.

am sure that John Lewis does have his shortcomings but he is a product of his times Anyone who has been arrested and beaten many times as he is bound to have some baggage. . He has been in congress since 1987 and it is up to Atlanta voters to boot him out if they are so inclined. He is opening the door for someone like Senator Cory Booker - like him or not - has less baggage than Lewis.

The point I am trying to make is that if Trump wants help from John Lewis ignoring the input from the Black Congressional Caucus is not a good beginning
