Grumpy's Dragon

There has been so many changes this year. I was fired from my job at Wal-Mart. I actually THANKED my boss for doing so. She said that she felt worse about it than I did. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. If I stayed there I would have still been a Mediocre Cashier.

I put my house on the market. The pipes kept breaking and I simply could not maintain the house on Wal-Mart Wages.

So in July, I had a Part-Time Job offer which I was assured would be temporary. Three women quit at the same time so my part time job turned out to be the opposite. The Executive Director Resigned so I was asked to stay and train my replacement. LOL!

So in October, I was offered a job as a Recovery Coach/Program Manager. I suspect the board learned not to underestimate Working Class Women. We provide more bang for the buck without the drama.

My house sold and now I live in a quiet complex three miles from my work. No broken pipes to worry about and no gigantic lawns to mow.

This morning I looked at my FB Status from Last Year and compared it to my FB Status from this year.

What a difference a year makes. A new abode and a new job. Thanksgiving 2014 - Snow and looking forward to driving to Area 1499 for the Early Black Friday Sales. This year - 2015 the beauty of Autumn. I ACTUALLY have the day off

I have Grumpy's Dragon on the Window next to my home office desk It is a reminder of .Grumpy's Irish Humor. He brought this Blue Dragon from California to West Virginia in a Pet Carrier. When asked about it at the LAX Airport, he explained that it was his Pet Dragon. He was told that he was not allowed to bring animals on the plane.. When the airline inspector opened the box to inspect - Grumpy assured the woman that the Dragon would not bite. .

. I love you Michael Gibbons and I know your Irish Humor for the rest of this day will prevail. You are still here or at least your Pet Dragon despite the fact that pets are not allowed in my new abode.

I have wondered where you were and how you were. I don't go on Facebook.

It all sounds like things happened when they are supposed to happen, to you.

The dragon is actually a beautiful object!

I was with Wal-Mart for 8 years and it worked for a long time but as I got older - they were telling me to move faster. That didn't work.
