I spent a very refreshing and glory filled weekend with other women, in fellowship, eating good food, and being fed from the Word. I came away with renewed hope in my future, in my trust and love for a God who Knows My Name. The end of the retreat ended with one of the most beautiful and emotional events … a “taste” of what it will be like to sit at the Banquet Table with My Lord Jesus Christ. As we waited in the foyer of the church, talk was about our curiosity as to what was in store for us when it came time to enter into the sanctuary where our meal was being made ready. When the time came, we were instructed to go quietly to the banquet table and look for our name card. As we entered, the following song was playing as we all silently made our way around the table that was set for royalty. He Knows My Name I have a Maker He formed my heart Before even time began My life was in his hands I have a Father He calls me His own He'll never leave me No matter where I go He knows my name He knows my every thought He sees each tear that falls And He hears me when I call Candles were lit, and the table was set with beautiful china and goblets. At the head of this banquet table a robe and gold grown covered the chair, in anticipation for the One Who Had Invited Us. I am sure there was not a dry eye as each woman took her place at the table. Oh what a wonderful day it will be when we do finally see Jesus, sitting at the head of the table, beckoning us to come and sit and sup with him. |

Hi Ola, Dare I say I know what you mean. I dont talk about religion here any more, not because I dont take part, but because I might raise someunwelcome comments. I have had many beautiful experiences and Im sure you will feel uplifted within yourself after such an experience.

This touched my heart. I remember "washing of the feet" touches me more whenever we do it. Hugssssssss! If you are doubting something, doubt your limits

I haven't been reading blogs for a long time. I am so glad that I picked today to read them. Ola....This is awesome... I have never experienced anything like that but I can see where it could change a person's life. Thank you for posting this.

I enjoy going on Religious Retreats. It sounds like you went on one that was very fulfilling. In the time I have been a member of SFF, you have impressed me as not only being a True Lady but a Dedicated Christian. Thank you for sharing!
