What? you say. What in the world does this picture have to do with furniture? My folks had an old saying when us kids would whine cause there might not be a place to sit .... "Well, sit on your fist and lean back on your thumb!"

As a side note, I hope this doesn't appear that I am making light of all the other postings for this theme. I've been looking at the pictures presented and there are some very unique, intricate and beautiful pieces of furniture.

I just don't have anything other than my make-shift chair, and its not easy to sit on either!

lol karinpepita ... not sure if it is an Irish saying .... although I come from Irish stock, so it might have been something that was past down.

It reminds me of a trick the boys would play.....they would put their fist just like that with the thumb up on your chair just as you sat down.......attracted a lot of attention in assembly when we screeched....the rat finks!!!!
