Hi Leeroy: I think that if men are losing their hair on top, they should NOT do a combover or leave it long and scraggly in the back. They should go to the Hair Club immediately at least for a consultation. There are lots of different affordable options today.

Depends on the guy..I like both long & short...do what you feel like....it can be cut later or it will grow back...either way is OK....my guy right now has LONG hair and it is so "him".
Living my life for the memories I will have....... not the regrets of what never was......

Hair a little longer, something to tussle with is nice! See, if you're comfortable with it, you can always cut later? I'm the opposite to Karin, love facial hair, but it has to suit the person. Karin, you don't know what you're missing, a nice tickle here and there, is wonderful! Leeroy look after that knee and feel better fast!

"Hair" is the title song to the 1968 musical Hair! ANd a hit record for the 'Cowsills'.
I had a mustache showing at 14. Parents weren't enthused about me shaving it. They did give me a razor kit at 16. I also had long (bushy? ) hair in the winter and a crew cut for the summer back then. Married my 'now X' with a beard. Shaved it off once and she threatened divorce if I grew it back. Hmmm
Why the beard? Shapes my face. Akin to the ladies wearing make up? Less time in the bathroom in the mornings. Warmer face in the winter.......
Cut and trim hair/beard (at my leisure). Saves time and at $12 every two weeks, it adds up.

Wilbur,
If you really look the way you appear on your photo, I'd say leave the hair alone. If your hair has grown considerably, I'd say get it cut. But, you alone have to be comfortable with the way your hair looks, and, from the sound of your question, it appears as though you'd feel happier with shorter hair. It's really your call. I prefer short hair on guys, but that's just me.

My son has a beard to hide facial scars created by jaw surgery. Given that, I oft wonder about other men behind beards whether this may be their reason for having one.
Beards have their own character, especially in portraiture painting and good black and white photography. There is an aire of elegance, distinction to the look....Maybe I just got hooked on Longfellow! (However, no, please don't hug me)
Leroy, your head, your hair....do as it pleases you! However, if you want a cut, call your area salons and they will send in an employee to provide you a cut if you desire. Hmmmm think on that one.....

I am all for short and neat, but that is how my hair has been all my life. Length, color, style is all personal preference, so you should go with what you feel comfortable with.
If it gets to long though we will have to call you wilberett.
