God bless you, ET. I understand the wonderful feeling you get from giving to others, but don't stifle that feeling for them too as they give back what they can. In order for there to be givers, there has to be those who will receive. A black friend (and I only mention that she is black to point out that we approach life from totally different backgrounds and perspectives) were just agreeing that we need to spread love and help those around us in our own areas. When we reach out to help folks, we pray they will in turn help others, and so forth.... it's a ripple effect and can spread farther and farther..... far outside each of our own scope of influence. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

THAT IS VERY KIND OF YOU, I AM SURE MANY OLD FOLKS HAVE A HAPPIER LIFE BECAUSE OF YOUR COOKING. DURING LOCKDOWN I REFUSED TO HAVE MEALS DELIVERED AND WENT SHOPPING THREE TIMES A WEEK. COOKING ONE A GREAT WAY TO KEEP THE BRAIN MOVING AND KEEP BUSY.

Sounds like you're enjoying the companionship of living in a group situation.......I love cooking for people, we have a long tradition of community meals here,or we did before Covid......I really miss sitting down and sharing meals with so many varied members of our community....People of all ages and stripes.. Yesterday, I sent off surprise packages to 6 different people......just to brighten their day.....Including my oldest sister, 10 years older than me, who has Dementia....She looks after her husband, who is recovering from a Stroke.....The two of them have amalgamated their faculties and apparently manage fairly well...... Anyways, a surprise package of goodies and pretties and sillies might brighten their day.

Thank you for giving of your, time, selflessness to others. I know I feel good after volunteering and doing something for others. jJust knowing I have given a kindness to others is a reward.

What a treat for the seniors in your complex having someone like you prepare & share hearty home cooked dishes - enough for you the many appreciative smiles from the residents. Good for you ET  I too am service oriented and an active member of two local community service based organisations. It does feel good and I appreciate the opportunity of entering people's lives I might not normally. Phil Collins 'Another Day in Paradise' began to play through my mind while reflecting on serving others/your blog - the song never fails to deeply move. In my youth I worked among homeless people on a voluntary basis because it was where I wanted to be/do - my heart can't help but go out to them and still does. Thanks for the blog ET.
