I think it looks magnificent Earthy. Like you I hate those ugly plastic watering containers. I got rid of my ugly green one and I have a metal grey one. It isn't as pretty as yours though. I would clean it up and see what it looks like in it's natural state. You might be surprised what it will look like underneath the dirty layer.

That's unique...... be sure to share with us after you are finished.

I love it!

Try doing something underneath so you can get an idea of what will happen to the metal. That way it wouldn't show.

As the saying goes, someone's trash is someone's treasure. It sure fits in that!

It has a charm that plastic will never have. Lovely.

If it doesn't leak you could perhaps put flowers in it once you get it cleaned up. Pity to use it just as a watering can.

WOW ET great find....good for you... it looks like a real treasure!!

A couple of weeks before Christmas, I had an appointment with my chiropractor, so when I left there I planned to go & visit a little 2nd hand shop closeby. I came upon a Mrs Santa. She's on a stand about 2-1/2 ft high, dressed all in red velvet with her granny cap on & granny glasses, holding a candle in one hand. When you plug her in, her head & arms move from side to side & the candle lights up. I had seen one in a shop a couple of years ago for around $100 but I only paid $12.95 so it was a real treasure for me & a conversation piece at Christmas!!
