Our colleges appear to be flooded with young people who were handed everything and not much parenting direction as to how to be responsible...... instead it appears they have been fed by liberal professors who teach then just the opposite.... that someone else, like the government, is responsible to take care of them.
Sad situation and will not end well.

I am not too sure that many of the youth are even aware of the "in your face media". It does seem that a lot of the ones who have been given so much they appreciate nothing are in or from colleges where they are taught the primary liberal viewpoint and are the ones out there burning cars and rioting.
I guess I'm isolated and blessed in our area because I see a lot of young people who did not go to college, but instead chose work and trade schools and have good work ethics. Of course, some of those I know personally are my own grandchildren and I know they came from "good stock" and were taught to work for what they want.

My Grandson is only three months old thus still needs to build a work ethic. You can't really judge a younger person's work ethics by their liberal/conservative status. I have two son who are opposite and both work hard. My older son acquired his education through the Military while my younger son is not a scholar but has been working since he was a teenager. I am sure there are some younger folks born into privilege who have everything handed to them but that is not my boys.

So you are saying your grandson is a snowflake liberal? He expects everyone to totally take care of him and he shows no responsibility for any of his actions? LOL.

Even conservative babies have to be taken care of in the beginning. My Grandson doesn't have to work. He is busy being the cutest baby in the world.

I don't have kids but I have nephews and a niece and I am disgusted by what kids think they are owed from their parents and by others. Their whole attitude, from what I have seen in general of kids today is WIFM (what's in it for me?). They only do things for personal gain. Of course there are still good kids out there (I hope) but parents spoil their children too much.
