Makes me hungry for one of my daughter's lasagnas..... she makes a good one too.
We still do pasta, but with Joe's low sodium diet, this is not on our menu..... too much cheese. But I do think I will make spaghetti for supper.

Pat have you ever considered using spaghetti squash to substitute for pasta? I saw on a cooking show they were doing that. It is a lot more healthy and less calories. Cheese is one of my downfalls as well. I try not to eat too much hard cheese because of the fat content. I don't have a sodium problem but watch it as well. But nothing is better than a serving of pasta. I just have a weakness for pasta.

Earthy do you make your lasagna with meat? I usually do a meatless lasagna with spinach and ricotta cheese. I bought a chicken lasagna recently and it was made with a white sauce. I really like that version as well.

Yes, I have used the squash, but we really do not like it as well as regular, whole wheat pasta. It isn't the pasta itself that has the sodium, it is the cheese. Joe should really only eat Swiss cheese, but we occasionally make an exception and add Parmesan on top of the pasta.
