 Playing the devil's advocate here - technically she is not a teen and I think her message was for them. At least she can afford a baby, married or not. It would be worse if she was married but could not afford to care for the child.

 The grandparents living room wall is covered from floor to ceiling with the heads of animals they shot and killed for fun. I just hope the baby can survive living with those people.

 I guess somehow or another nothing surprises me about those Palins. Dear Bristol was engaged then they break it off and she becomes pregnant. Like you say the Palins must have deep pockets. It isn't very impressive to say in the least.
