Sorry to hear this Earthy.........I don't think I would have had the surgery, I hear the odds are never very good when it comes to aneurysms.

I am a firm advocate of quality of life over quantity of life..... but we don't know what we'd actually choose until we're faced with the decision.

Usually humans fight tooth & nail for every bit of time they have.

Warm Hugssss.....

I'm very sorry about your brother-in-law but quite confused about what his doctors said. My dad had an aortic aneurysm that nearly burst. The doctor said it was the largest he saw that didn't burst. He had bypass surgery to remove it and it almost burst during surgery but didn't. He lived for another 10 years, with no affect from the aneurysm. He got cancer and died.

It is always a difficult decision when faced with the choices your brother-in-law had to make. We do the best we can and hope for the best outcome. I wish him and your family well.

I often wonder if facing a medical condition what I would do to give me more time. Certainly quality of life is figured into the equation that is for sure. It wasn't an easy decision for your sister to make. Thoughts go out to you Earthy and the rest of the family during this difficult time.
