That is probably a better remedy than cold meds!

Hopefully the duration of the runny nose is short.

Colds with meds last about 7 days, without meds, about one week. Remember that!

If you can't make go away at least you can get to a place where you don't care.

My grandmother had a similar recipe only she used bourbon instead of brandy.

My dad always used whiskey, not sure if it works, but it would knock me out for more than an hour!

This is a remedy we use and it does help. If you drink enough of it you are too intoxicated to feel the pain!

I've heard a similar recipe for the flu: cognac into hot milk. But yours seem to be allergic rhinitis.

Earthy I like Jim's anecdote. At least it gave you another hour and a half of sleep. I am like you I haven't had anything all winter and missed getting the flu shot. This past week I have been really stuffed up. But here it appears to be the changing of the season and all of the spring flowers are in full bloom. The pollen is beginning to fly around in the air and am sure it must have some bearing on what I am feeling in my head.
