Once I "retired" for a third time, I was worried about how I would fill the idle hours. NOW, I wonder where the days and weeks go!! I am far less productive than when I worked, - now always having "tomorrow" - and yet I am running willy-nilly.
Will someone please explain to me how I get very little accomplished and yet feel harried???? It makes no sense!!

When I feel harried I give myself a manicure. Somehow I find it very calming. If that doesn't work I give myself a pedicure too! Hugs.

You are apparantly still in the "I must get ab and c done, or the world will end" mode.

ET: C'mon down here to Cape Coral. We'll discuss the matter, in great detail, in the back seat of the Oldsmobile and below-deck on the boat......
P.S. When we're done, you'll be SURE we had a productive meeting...

Hi Earthy: I was saying the exact same thing today. I make a list of things I should do each day, but now that I'm not working anymore I never seem to have the time to even read the list. About two weeks ago I added 'clean coffee pot' to the list, and I finally got around to cleaning it today and it took all of two minutes.

After I retired I wondered how I ever got any work done. I have pretty much ran out of projects now. I have the same feelings how do I not do things and the day passe so quickly. Answer is simple, misdirection, or distaction, going through a room with one thing on your mind and see something in the room that you need to do, make a mental note on it, prety sooon the mental note data bank is full, and the result is that feeling of I have so much to do I can't get anything done. cure, do one thing at a time.
