Dan, I really fell my eyes tearing while reading this heartbreaking story you've posted above. Thank you and thank you again for reviving our feelings specially during this Christmas festivity. May it soften the hearts of those who have it hard. Thanks again Dan. , may our Lord bless your weekend.

Stories like these always surface at this time of year, and definitely tug on our heartstrings.......... but we should maintain a spirit of giving and an open eye for opportunity all year long.
Merry Christmas!

Once in awhile, at the antique mall where we have booths, someone will come in with something to sell. Friday, a man came in and asked if anyone there buys marbles and things. The store itself does not, but sometimes if vendors are present, we will look at the stuff and make an offer.
One of the other vendors looked at the marbles, and asked what he wanted for them. The man asked for $15, but the vendor said the best he could do was $5. The man looked saddened, but said he guess he would take the money. I asked why he was selling them, and he said he needed gas money to get to another city, and nosey me asked why. He said, "my mom" and stopped.
Joe had just handed me his wallet because I was buying something at the desk, and he turned to me and asked if he had money in there that I wasn't going to use. I just opened his wallet and he pulled out the $10 bill and handed it to the man.
The man got teary eyed, and said, "Thank you, sirs." and as he left he said, have a blessed day. We all said "Merry Christmas to him."
Joe told me later, that he had told the lady at the counter his mother had died in that other city.
Do I believe he was telling the truth? I dunno, and it really doesn't matter. Joe felt a tug at his heart to give, and he did. We don't react like that to all "hard luck" stories we hear, but once in awhile, that tug comes and it should be obeyed. We were blessed whether he was truthful or not.
