Whenever I see numbers crunched like this, I am reminded of the old saying, "Figure lie and liars figure".
As for gas prices, they are not nearly as high here right now ( a little over $2) as they have been in the past few years. Gas prices also fluctuate with the seasons and the supply and demand anticipation.
It is also interesting to note that yes, executives are paid big bucks, but that is normal in any big corporation, but when there is profit, it goes to the "little folks" who own some stock in that company, often through their 401Ks.
Oh, and gasoline really is a bargain in our country. Just look at the prices around the world.

Perhaps becasue in today's world "profit" is achieved by taking advantage of others rather than the result of hard work?
