My "NORMAL" comment was misinterpreted.....I wasn't clear.......What I meant was that millions of Americans are ignoring the facts of the epidemic in order to maintain their "Normal" lives.......Several states were so anxious to get back to "normal" that they got infected and had to go back to stage 1......

What I mean by addicted to normal is Trump apparently not able to accept the consequences of the epidemic to change his normal......Like having in-person rallies, for instance..The huge costs to his people of his refusal to let go of the normal.........The millions of Americans who won't wear masks or social distance or stop gathering in large groups in order to maintain their sense of normalcy......Trump and his supporters focusing on anything else but the elephant in the room.......denying it, posting propaganda......just yesterday, Trump Sr. and Jr. both posted lies about Covid.......Trying to maintain normalcy......Look over there....the Stock Market is normal, look over here, schools are going to open.....everything is NORMAL......

It's obvious that Americans, including the President and many politicians and the thousands of protesters , believe that maintaining NORMAL is more important than people's lives and the many costs inherent in their refusal to accept disruption of their normal.
