Parents are very worried here about schools reopening in September. Hopefuly it won't happen.

Wow, your child is the image of you.

You don't need to argue with THEM.. about school children and their ability to handle the virus if they get it. About schools being safe for children. or that they have the childs best interest at heart.
OH MY Gosh.. It's the same argument that got Us where we are now.

people who believe? themselves to be "safe". Don't need to provide for those who are unsafe.
If someone is okay.. then spreading the virus is not their problem.
There is no reason not to wear a mask. if you believe? you won't or can't catch the virus.
If children are the least likely to be effected by the virus.. then why should they sacrifice?

What we know about school opening is arguably about the children. But removing that argument still leaves the community spread issue..Children MAY not die from the virus MAY not even get severely sick, but they can spread the virus.

School opening has two parameters... first in areas where there is significant community spread.. It's an insane idea..
In area where there is no current community...It's an insane idea to believe opening school won't help create one.

It's obvious trump wants the schools opened to provide child care so the parents can get back to work. The last I heard was they wanted the schools opened five days a week which indicates to me it is more for the convenience of the working parent than for the safe education of children. Teachers are not baby sitters or daycare providers. I would think online education with at least one day or 1/2 a day a week in school classes would solve a lot of problems. Rotating in school classes between five days would keep the schools buses running with ample distancing between students. It would keep classes much smaller and allow for extra help with any problems with the online classes. Teachers, bus drivers, school lunch providers would be there five days a week.
